Drop Leg

A section of pipework from the main airline (ring main or branch leg) down to an outlet for tools or an air operated device. To prevent condensate flowing down the drop leg it should come off the top of the main airline. Drop legs are often fitted with quick release couplings so that tools and air operated devices can be connected and disconnected without de-pressurising the system.
